The cost for our mold inspection starts at $300 for a full visual check with moisture detection tools and 2 air samples; this will be an inside vs. outside air comparison. The outside sample is a control that sets a standard for what is normal and acceptable in the area. We’ll take the inside sample from the area that you and the inspector agree is the area of biggest concern. Inside samples should be similar or slightly lower levels of the mold that we see in the outside sample.

Additional samples are available at $75 each. Our inspector must recommend any sample they feel is necessary. It is up to you the client to make a decision on whether or not those additional samples are important to your situation. Here are some examples of additional samples that are recommended:

Surface Sample: Potential Visible Mold- Confirms source of problem.
In-Wall Cavity Air Sample: Confirms source or finds problem that is not yet airborne.
General Air Sample: Evaluate Secondary area of concern or see if a problem has spread.
We must approach each inspection as though it might go to litigation. It is not about what you know, but what you can prove. Regardless of how many samples are taken, we will provide as much information as we possibly can.
